Understanding 9/11
Every year in Lincoln, shortly before graduation, the Seniors of Pius X high school and their parents have a special Mass, followed by a fancy brunch downtown. In 2007, I was asked to celebrate the Mass and preach it. They were the first class I taught as a priest. It was also the first time I ever recorded a homily. Oh, and it was my 1,001st Mass.
